Kennedys receives top rankings in Chambers UK 2022 results

Kennedys has been recognised in Chambers UK 2022 as a top-band firm in nine of our 24 practice areas rankings, with 52 partners and lawyers recommended within the guide.

Following in the steps of the recent The Legal 500 UK 2022 results, Kennedys has received notable rankings in the latest Chambers guide to leading firms and lawyers across the country.

Supporting one of our core strengths of insurance, the firm has been reconfirmed as Band 1 for 'Insurance: Contentious Claims (UK-wide)'. "Everyone in the team is very experienced in their field", reported one client, with another adding that "the lawyers at Kennedys are practical and solutions-based as well as having great legal knowledge and expertise". 

Likewise, the firm received top-band rankings for 'Product Liability: Mainly Defendant (UK-wide)' and 'Life Sciences: Product Liability (UK-wide)'. The teams were noted for their "prowess in a diverse range of sectors" and for doing a "marvellous job running the local lawyers in different jurisdictions". One interviewee remarked that the life sciences team are "terrific and smart at picking up on the complex medical science aspects".

Kennedys' professional negligence arm, which also maintained its top accolade for 'Professional Negligence (North West)', was praised for holding "a prominent position in the market" and for "defending high-value claims".

Our liability division also received an impressive number of Band 1 rankings. For 'Personal Injury: Mainly Defendant (UK-wide)', a source described Kennedys as "a really down-to-earth firm staffed by high-quality people", with another interviewee praising the "cost-effective service that we are very pleased with".

For 'Clinical negligence (UK-wide)', the team was highlighted for their "excellent defendant experience", with the client adding that "they are commercially minded and excellent lawyers".

Similarly, an interviewee who has worked with our leading 'Travel: International Personal Injury (UK-wide)' team, stated that "Kennedys has an excellent reputation and it’s no wonder - all the lawyers I come into contact with are excellent and supportive".

In addition, a client of our top-ranked lawyers for 'Transport: Logistics (UK-wide)' said that "Kennedys is at the top of my list of legal service providers in the UK. I know I can pick up the phone to any member of the team there and obtain pertinent advice on a wide range of matters".

To complete the firm's Band 1 accolades, a market commentator for 'Health and Safety (UK-wide)' said that "Kennedys has one of the strongest teams in health and safety". Sources also noted that the team "dominates the market in terms of the quantity and quality of work".
