Ben Aram
Profile
Ben is our UK Managing Partner and looks after our 12 UK offices and nearly 1,700 colleagues. He is also co-head of the firm’s Corporate and Commercial division.
Ben spearheaded the transformation of our Corporate and Commercial practice, taking it from a single London-based team operating as an adjunct to the firm’s core insurance offering to a standalone, multi-service practice group. Under his leadership, the UK division has more than tripled its revenue since 2019.
Ben is a renowned international arbitration and commercial litigation partner, focusing on high-value, complex cases with an international or cross-border dimension and matters involving conflicts of laws. Clients, including states, international conglomerates, insurers/reinsurers and ultra-high net worth (UHNW) individuals and their businesses, frequently turn to him for high-level, strategic advice long before disputes arise.
Ben has particular expertise in cases involving life sciences, chemicals, plastics and construction materials, advising some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical and manufacturing companies on product liability issues, commercial disputes and mass tort claims across the EMEA region. He also advises a select number of global insurers on complex life-sciences and casualty related policy issues.
In addition to handling cases across all levels of the English courts, including the Supreme Court, as a fluent German speaker Ben frequently appears on behalf of his clients as co-counsel in the courts of Germany, Switzerland and Austria. He also speaks French and Hebrew and leads our Israel desk, having overseen the firm’s expansion into Israel in 2020.
As the Global Sustainability sponsor, Ben plays a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s ESG strategy. In 2024, he helped launch Kennedys’ dedicated ESG practice group, assembling a global team to advise both insurers and corporate clients on their climate and governance related risks and exposures.
Ben is a top-choice disputes lawyer who has strong expertise in litigation and arbitration alike.
