We have reported record revenue of £313m for the financial year 2022/23. This represents an 11% increase on the previous financial year and is the first time our revenue has topped £300m.
Our most significant growth came in North America and Bermuda, where revenue was up 24%. This follows strategic expansion of our US footprint as well as our bench strength in key areas of practice with a laser focus on the needs of our clients.
UK revenue increased by 6%, APAC saw an increase of 12% and EMEA an increase of 9%. Growth has been supported by a 4% increase in the number of fee-earners worldwide, with total headcount now at 2,500+. This includes 19 partner hires, as well as 20 promotions in our annual round of partner promotions in May.
Three new senior business services appointments were also made, with Karen Peskett-Hall joining as the our first chief transformation officer, Karen Snell joining as chief business development and marketing officer and Kate Hursthouse as our first head of responsible business. In addition, Rhian Gait-Parker joined Kennedys IQ, our technology and innovation arm, as director of operations.
Nick Thomas, senior partner, Kennedys says: “I am pleased to report another year of record growth for the firm. In what has been a challenging economic environment I am incredibly proud of all of my colleagues around the world who have worked so hard to ensure that we continue to innovate and develop services that set Kennedys apart.”
In the last 12 months we opened three new offices in Houston, Brisbane and Newcastle. We also continued with our global transformation programme ‘WorkWise’, which saw the London team move into new office space in the city’s iconic Walkie-Talkie building and the Sydney team move into 25 Martin Place, another landmark building.
We now have an international footprint of 71 offices, co-operation agreements and associations across 21 countries.
