We are delighted to announce the opening of our new office in Delaware, continuing our expansion in the US.
The office – our eighth in the US and the 43rd globally – will be located in the heart of Wilmington, the state’s financial centre.
Spearheading the expansion is Marc Casarino, a leading commercial litigator who joins after more than 20 years at White and Williams where he managed a broad commercial litigation practice.
Marc has extensive experience in insurance coverage litigation, corporate governance, fiduciary obligations, director and officer disputes, stockholder rights, partnership conflicts, internal investigations, securities claims, bankruptcies, breach of contracts, and employer liability.
He has first-chair trial experience, both bench and jury, before all of the Delaware state and federal courts, and has also handled appeals to the Delaware Supreme Court and Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Marc Casarino said: “I am delighted to join Kennedys at such an exciting time. I already know the calibre of my new colleagues, having worked as Delaware counsel for many of them previously. Being able to access that bank of talent and the global resources of Kennedys will be invaluable.”
Marc, who holds an undergraduate degree in economics and graduated law school in 1997, has been admitted to the bar in the State of Delaware, the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Meg Catalano, US Managing Partner and member of the firm’s Global Strategy Board said: “Marc has an impressive track record in growing a practice in this field, and a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience which will be a real asset to us and our clients.”
Welcoming Marc, Kennedys’ senior US partner and member of the firm’s Global Strategy Board, Christopher Carroll added: “Our clients are at the heart of everything we do, and I’m pleased to say that the growing needs of our clients, along with the importance of the Delaware courts has driven this latest expansion.”
“Growth in such an important market and in such challenging times isn’t easy, but is a true testament to our colleagues and the service we provide to our clients.”
Nick Thomas, Senior Partner of Kennedys said: “Our reputation for excellence is built on people like Marc, and we are thrilled to have him leading our new office in this key US location for precedent-setting law.”
We have seven other offices across the US, the newest of which opened just 18 months ago in San Francisco. We also have offices in Austin, Basking Ridge, Chicago, Miami, Philadelphia, and New York.
Globally, we have also opened new offices in Leeds, Oman, Tel Aviv and Perth as well as moving into new office space in Hong Kong, Manchester and Madrid in response to evolving hybrid work preferences of our lawyers and clients alike.
