Suraj is an associate at the Basking Ridge office and is part of the firm’s coverage team.

Prior to joining Kennedys, Suraj served as a judicial law clerk to the Honourable Brian M. English, J.S.C. in Middlesex County Superior Court – Civil Division. During his clerkship, Suraj briefed and analysed a broad range of civil matters including coverage disputes and declaratory actions, whistle-blower complaints, commercial disputes, personal injury matters and claims regarding public entities.

During Suraj’s time at Rutgers Law School, he served as Co-President of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, as an elected class representative of the Student Bar Association, as a research assistant, and as a member of the International Refugee Assistance Project. Suraj also received a pro bono service award at graduation.

Suraj received his undergraduate degree in Economics and Political Science from Rutgers University New Brunswick. While at Rutgers New Brunswick, Suraj was a member of the parliamentary debate team and served on the executive board for the organization.
