Matthew began his legal career in 2005 in New York, New York (US) in commercial litigation before transitioning into a general practice focused on governmental litigation and matters involving personal injury, employment, municipal contracts and other civil dispute resolution.

After practicing in New York for nearly eight years, Matthew emigrated to Australia in 2013 where he worked primarily in health law / medical malpractice for nearly five years. Matthew’s legal focus eventually shifted towards small to complex, multi-million dollar aviation related insurance litigation defence claims concerning personal injury, property damage, indemnity and subrogation on behalf of domestic and international insurers.

Matthew has joined Kennedys’ Sydney office as a Senior Associate handling insurance, reinsurance and commercial law related claims and dispute resolution concerning liability and indemnity in areas of transportation (trucking, marine and aviation), construction and professional liability.
