Kathryn is a senior associate based in Kennedys’ Birmingham Office.  She qualified as a legal executive in 2003 and is qualified to practice in England and Wales.

Kathryn represents insurers and corporate clients in respect of employers liability and public liability claims across various sectors to include leisure, manufacturing and construction.  She also has experience in dealing with occupational disease claims, particularly stress cases.

She deals with a broad range of personal injury claims both in terms of value and liability complexity and those involving multi parties.  She regularly deals with high value claims involving claimants with significant injuries and those involving experts of many disciplines to include claims involving head injuries, amputated limbs and chronic pain.

Kathryn has a particular specialism in claims involving the leisure and entertainment industry and regularly advises clients in this sector on issues specific to their business to include strategy to manage and prevent claims as well as defend them. 

Kathryn also deals with the regulatory aspects of health and safety claims and the defence of Health and Safety Executive (HSE) prosecutions.

Kathryn supervises solicitors, trainees and other junior lawyers in the Birmingham Office.

She is a member of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL).
