Diversity and inclusion: FCA requirements

On Wednesday 20 April 2022, the FCA published Policy Statement 22/3: Diversity and inclusion on company boards and executive management. This policy aims to improve transparency on the diversity of company boards and their executive management for investors and other market participants. Companies will now be required to include a statement in their annual financial report setting out whether they have met specific board diversity targets. 

In this webinar, speakers Kiah Ashbarry, Ann Dingemans, Julie Klein and Noura Sultan explained the FCA’s final policy decision and the anticipated impacts of the ‘comply and explain’ requirement for UK businesses and their insurers. We will then outline and compare the similar requirements in the US and Europe.
