Julie is an associate in the Chicago office. Julie primarily represents insurers in the US, as well as in the London and Bermuda markets. Julie focuses her practice on insurance coverage matters involving  professional liability, general liability, directors’ and officers’ liability, and cyber liability at both the primary and excess level. Julie advises her clients on a wide-variety of claims, including those involving construction and design defects, mass torts, sexual abuse, opioid liability, data breach, environmental matters, asbestos, and products liability. She also represents her clients in coverage litigation (including defending clients against bad faith claims) in state and federal courts throughout the United States. Recently, she has expanded her practice to representing clients in London arbitration.

Julie received her law degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she served as a Student Articles Editor for the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal. After law school, Julie served as a judicial law clerk for Judge Peter Flynn (Ret.) in the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois. Prior to joining Kennedys, Julie worked as an insurance coverage associate at a law firm in Chicago.

Julie is a co-chair of the Chicago Bar Association’s Insurance Law Committee. She is also involved in the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation – a non-profit that helps communities by uniting the insurance industry and providing grants and volunteer service – where she serves on the Associate Board and co-chairs the volunteer committee.
