Katie is an associate in the Wilmington office. She focuses her practice on general complex civil litigation, handling matters regarding insurance defense and coverage, commercial disputes, director and officer disputes, fiduciary obligations, and corporate governance.

Prior to joining Kennedys, Katie spent seven years exclusively representing Plaintiffs in all matters ranging from car accidents, slip and falls, and toxic exposure to multi-jurisdictional mass tort and class actions. Her background in Plaintiffs’ work provides Katie with a unique and advantageous perspective that she utilizes in her continued dedicated advocacy in support of her clients.

During law school, Katie served as a judicial extern for the Honorable M. Jane Brady of the Delaware Superior Court and was appointed President of the Widener chapter of the ACLU, where she also volunteered during law school, earning pro bono distinction. Katie was also awarded a Certificate of Achievement for her coursework in Legal Methods – Advocacy.

Katie has appeared before the Delaware Superior Court, Supreme Court and District Court for the State of Delaware, along with various Delaware administrative agencies including the Industrial Accident Board, Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, and the Insurance Commissioner Arbitration panel. She has extensive experience with alternate dispute resolution and has successfully and cost-effectively resolved hundreds of cases on behalf of her clients.
