Pablo is currently a Senior Associate in Kennedys’ Chile and is part of the Corporate and Commercial practice group. He qualified in Chile in 2014 and specialises in corporate and commercial, real estate, compliance and regulatory matters. Pablo is a law graduate from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA, and two Postgraduate Diplomas in Insurance Law and Corporate Governance, both from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
As part of his practice, he advises local and international companies on corporate and commercial law matters, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, real estate matter and regulatory matter. He acts for clients in industries such as retail, aviation, manufacturing, insurance, finance, construction, and real estate.
Pablo is a native Spanish speaker and is fluent in English.
Work highlights
- Advised a Chilean insurance broker in an M&A transaction by which the company was wholly acquired by one of the world's largest insurance brokers.
- Advised a transnational factoring company in a business transfer agreement in which the company acquired multiple assets from the target company.
- Advised a Chilean aircraft operator company in selling one of its aircraft to an American flight operator, negotiating the Purchase Agreement and performing all pre- and post-closing obligations to complete the sale.
- As compliance officer of an insurance company, he was instrumental in dealing with a risk-based supervision procedure conducted by the Chilean insurance regulatory agency.
