Nicholas Jajko is a partner in the Philadelphia office who focuses his practice on information privacy, data incident response and technology transactions. He counsels clients across private industry and public/third sectors on how to prepare for, and respond to, data privacy incidents of all sizes and scope.
Nicholas draws from a wealth experience in the cyber incident response practice to assist clients with digesting the impact of investigation findings, understanding statutory and contractual obligations and satisfying those obligations – including by public notification and regulatory reporting. Nicholas also prepares clients for compliance with state & federal data security regulations and acts as counsel in response to regulatory inquiry and investigations.
At his prior firm, Nicholas was co-chair to the firm’s data privacy practice and was team lead for the nationwide litigation firm’s cyber incident response team. Nicholas has held the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) credential from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and is a member of the IAPP Privacy Bar Section and the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Privacy & Data Security Committee.
Nicholas has written and presented on the attorney-client privilege and work product protection as it applies to pre-litigation incident response. Nicholas has been guest speaker and panelist addressing issues in privacy compliance and data breach incident response for broker/dealers and registered investment advisors (RIAs), school administrators, CPAs and tax professionals and cyber insurance professionals, among others.
