Leanna is an associate in the New York office. She represents self-insured entities and insured commercial businesses in areas of construction defect, construction site injuries, New York Labor Law, construction litigation, commercial litigation, general liability, premises liability and commercial trucking accidents.

Leanna regularly handles cases involving New York Labor Law section 200, section 240 and section 241 claims along with contractual indemnity claims. She handles various construction cases, involving construction defect claims, construction accidents, code violations and building and designed related deficiencies. Her clients include owners, developers, general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, commercial landlord and tenants, among other clients.

Additionally, Leanna handles general liability cases which include but are not limited to premises liability involving cases concerning maintenance and repairs of commercial real estate, adequacy of security services and commercial trucking accidents.

Prior to joining Kennedys, Leanna was an Assistant District Attorney in Queens County, New York. During her time at the DA’s Office, Leanna represented the people of Queens County while prosecuting criminal matters at the misdemeanor and felony level, including DWIs, assaults, robberies, child endangerment and unlawful possession of weapons.

While in law school, Leanna was a Teaching Fellow for the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Program, where she taught Constitutional Law to local DC high-school students. Leanna also served on the Journal of Social, Policy & the Law, Intellectual Property Brief and Asian Pacific American Law Student Association. She interned at various offices, including the United States Attorney’s Office, District of Columbia and the Office of New York State Attorney General.
