Catriona is a Legal Director based in Kennedys’ London office with over 14 years’ experience as a commercial lawyer.

After qualifying into private practice in Scotland, Catriona spent a number of years working in house, first in the oil and gas sector, and subsequently in financial services. She moved back into private practice in 2018, and spent five years at DLA Piper, where she specialised in technology and transactional IP. Catriona joined Kennedys in 2024 and advises clients on a broad range of commercial contract and IT matters, including technology contracts, social media, data centres, software licensing, Artificial Intelligence, and data protection.

Catriona has been listed as a “Rising Star” for Technology, Media and Telecommunications in the Legal 500 (Scotland area) since 2022.

  • Advising a UK public sector client in relation to their rights under an IT outsourcing contract that had undergone several amendments.
  • Advising a European logistics group in relation to a contract dispute regarding a platform critical to its business.
  • Advising clients on cookie and PECR compliance and drafting privacy and cookie policies for a multinational firm of architects.
  • Providing advice in relation to ownership of intellectual property assets for a multi-national group innovating in advertising technology.
