Alexander Scard

Alexander is a legal director in Kennedys’ London office.  He specialises in international dispute resolution, with a particular focus on international arbitration. Alexander handles commercial and investment treaty disputes and has conducted arbitrations under a variety of arbitral rules, including ICC, LCIA, LMAA, SCC and UNCITRAL. He has experience of disputes in a wide range of sectors such as commodities, shipping, oil and gas, mining, insurance, sport and telecoms.

Alexander also regularly advises clients on the impact of sanctions on their commercial relationships. Matters he has dealt with have involved different sanctions regimes, including UK and EU sanctions and Russian countersanctions. Alexander’s experience includes advice on financial and trade sanctions, export bans, currency controls, exceptions and licensing.
