Profile

Carol is a partner in our Leeds office. Carol specialises in high value employers’ and public liability claims and property damage disputes acting for companies, insurers and public sector organisations on a national basis.

Carol also represents local authorities in relation to claims arising from stress at work, allegations of abuse, data protection breaches and breach of the Human Rights Act, many of which involve complex limitation and medical causation issues.

Carol is highly regarded for her attention to detail in investigating and defending claims, and for her determination to secure the right result for the client.

Carol was the former chair of FOIL (Forum of Insurance Lawyers) public sector and blue light SFT (sector focus team). She is a regular speaker at local and national events, often being invited to present legal updates, addressing issues on the horizon for clients. Carol also participates in expert panels, has chaired discussions at round table events with other leaders in the field and regularly contributes articles to magazine publications.
