Denise Ryan

Denise Ryan is a Senior Associate in Kennedys' Dublin office.

Denise has extensive experience in defence litigation and has acted for a range of domestic insurers, Lloyds syndicates and self-insured companies. Prior to this Denise worked for a national insurance company and has valuable knowledge of the insurance industry. Denise commenced her career in general practice and was principal of her firm in Dublin for eleven years before specialising in defence litigation work.

Denise specialises in defence work. She advises insurer clients on policy, liability, reserves and tactics. She has  worked in the areas of public liability, employers' liability, product liability, trespass, public and private nuisance, defamation and road traffic accidents. Denise takes a commercial and pragmatic approach when reporting to clients and she listens and works with insurer clients to adopt a sensible and pragmatic approach when defending a claim.

Qualifications

• BA and LLB from NUIG
• Diploma in Commercial Litigation – The Law Society
• Diploma in Commercial Property – The Law Society
