Fay is an associate in Kennedys’ catastrophic injury team, based in Bristol. She has over 20 years’ litigation experience and joined Kennedys in January 2025.
Fay has extensive experience in defendant complex injury work and works for a variety of major insurers, dealing with the defence of catastrophic injury claims arising from motor, employers’ liability and public liability accidents. She regularly handles with claims with reserves in excess of £1m and has experience in dealing with complex orthopaedic injuries, amputations, subtle brain injuries and chronic pain conditions.

- Qualified as a legal executive in 2007 and as a solicitor in 2009.
Work highlights
- Secured a settlement of less than £140,000 in a £2m+ claim brought by a care worker who developed a Functional Neurological Disorder after sustaining a minor soft tissue injury at work and had deteriorated to the point she was wheelchair bound.
- Obtained a discontinuance from a Claimant who was diagnosed with CRPS and alleged extreme disability. The Defendant pleaded Fundamental Dishonesty in light of surveillance footage which contradicted the Claimant’s account.
- Secured a settlement of £75,000 in a claim pleaded at £1.2m, brought by a Claimant who sustained a head/subtle brain injury and alleged that but for the accident he would have attended a prestigious university and been a high earner.
- Assisted on the case of Bennion v Adventure Parc Snowdonia Ltd [2023] EWHC 3334 which was successfully defended in full at a liability trial.
