We are targeting US expansion with the addition of two new partners in two of our East Coast offices. Partner Niva Harney-Hiller is joining our Miami office, bringing with her a special counsel and one associate, while Daniel Marvin joins as partner in our New York office.
Niva Harney-Hiller, joins us from Miami’s Hamilton, Miller & Birthisel, LLP, and represents both US and international insurers in a wide range of defense matters, including personal injury, wrongful death, negligent security, property damage, construction defect, medical and professional malpractice, and product liability.
In addition, Niva handles matters across the Virgin Islands and the rest of the Caribbean. She frequently represents foreign governments, individuals, and businesses in commercial disputes, including the government of Antigua & Barbuda and disputes involving international and local corporations. A large portion of her practice is devoted to representing condominium associations in premises liability, property damage, and negligent security matters.
Joining Niva in Miami is special counsel Gilda Flam, and associate Breana Khouly.
Daniel Marvin joins our New York office from Morrison Mahoney LLP. Dan’s practice focuses on cybersecurity, privacy and data protection. He provides a range of litigation and advisory services including issues related to the development, modification, and implementation of written information security plans, employee data security policies, third-party vendor contracts and corporate governance policies, as well as the counselling of clients in all aspects of data breach prevention, detection and mitigation.
Dan advises clients with respect to compliance and regulatory inquiries relating to international, federal and state privacy and data protection laws including the CCPA, GDPR, GLBA, HIPAA and the N.Y.S. Department of Financial Services cybersecurity regulation.
