Hui Ying Lim

Hui Ying is a partner in our Singapore office and specialises in motor insurance defence work. She was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2004.

Her ample experience in disputes work means that her advice is frequently sought by clients for policy construction and drafting issues. She has also advised the General Insurance Association on the Insurance Amendment Bill, which came into force on 1 September 2009.

In addition to motor claims, Hui Ying handles debt recovery and subrogation claims for insurance companies involving fire damage, water damage, counter-indemnities, contractual recovery and restitution.

She is a member of The Law Society of Singapore.

Hui Ying also contributed to the Claims inflation and personal injury claims: a global review report, published in June 2023.
