Ukraine: a message from Suzanne Liversidge, global managing partner

We are shocked by the tragic situation in Ukraine. Our thoughts are with all those who are suffering, and we can only hope that a peaceful resolution is found swiftly.

Until then, Kennedys is resolute in our commitment to do whatever we can to help this humanitarian crisis.

We were one of the first law firms, if not the first in the UK, to close our Russian office.

We have donated emergency funds to the UN Refugee Agency. This charity works with targeted NGOs on the ground in Ukraine and Poland which ensures that the aid get to the people who need it most immediately.

We are putting a match funding programme in place for firm-wide donations. Other regional offices are making substantial local donations.

We have set up a global Kennedys Ukraine task force to set a strategy to coordinate the provision of aid, assistance and support, helping colleagues provide personal and pro bono legal support.

We have created a Kennedys online emergency list so colleagues can donate much needed nappies, sanitary products, sleeping bags, equipment etc that goes directly to those in need.

Every single Kennedys employee around the world has been given 10 hours each of paid work time to carry out voluntary support to help local charities support Ukraine.

This is just the start. We will do more. We can all do more. Small things can have a huge impact. It doesn’t have to be a huge gesture or donation. A drop makes an ocean if we all act. We are committed to doing so.
