This session discussed: What is fraud?; How to identify the key indicators of fraud; Indicators shared across white collar crime, motor, property and casualty fraud?; Basic investigations into fraud.
Kennedys 2024 wrap up sessions
At the end of 2024, we ran a series that provided a wrap-up of Kennedys' key cases throughout our lines of business, including professional liability, crime and regulatory, fraud and product liability.

Investigations into liability
This session discussed: the Scottish Compulsory Pre-Action Protocol; EL/PL: what investigations should be carried out and when?; motor: protocols, portals, and lifecycle; Catastrophic injury: red flags and considerations.
Investigations into coverage
This session discussed general considerations and issues that arise in practice when considering coverage for an insurance claim, in particular about: Initial investigations and information gathering; Notification requirements; Policy periods; Placement issues (i.e. non-disclosure/misrepresentation); Coverage provisions and exclusions; Subrogation and double-insurance.
Very informative on the state of evolving claims for different professions.
