Increasing complaints in the travel sector

During the last financial year (2023/24), disgruntled travel insurance policyholders took 4,466 complaints to the Financial Ombudsman Service. This was up from the 3,745 complaints made the previous year. Increasing spread of disease

A new era of research into vector-borne diseases has begun in response to the increasing threat posed by mosquitoes and the harmful pathogens they transmit. Environmental changes and other factors have led to a rise in infectious diseases, enabling mosquitoes to thrive in new regions and become more resilient. With heightened travel, trade, and climate change, more people are being exposed to these pathogens, potentially leading to more frequent outbreaks in the future.
