Jason Ederer is special counsel for the Financial Lines team in the New York office.
Jason represents domestic and international insurers in complex coverage actions, from claim inception through litigation. He concentrates his practice on handling disputes and providing insurance coverage advice on a variety of issues arising under professional liability errors & omissions policies, directors and officers policies, cyber, fine art and specie, cargo, property and commercial general liability policies.
Jason is also an experienced litigator, specializing in the defense complex civil and commercial cases, including disputes arising from professional liability, insurance coverage and intellectual property claims. He has successfully defended various professionals including accountants, attorneys, insurance agents and brokers and real estate agents and brokers and other miscellaneous professionals in claims arising from their alleged errors and omissions and/or malpractice.
Jason was recognized as a Super Lawyers "Rising Star'' in the New York Metro area each year from 2015-2023 and has been frequently published in the areas of insurance, intellectual property and professional liability law. He is also a former Vice Chair of the Professional Liability Insurance Committee of the American Bar Association.
Jason is admitted to practice in the State of New York and has litigated in federal and state courts throughout the United States. He received his BA from the University of Michigan and his JD from Syracuse University College of Law. He has also received an LLM in Intellectual Property from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
