Magnus is a senior associate in our complex casualty coverage team, bringing extensive expertise in insurance and reinsurance law. Based in our London office and qualified in New Zealand, Magnus specialises in high-value, complex coverage matters, offering strategic advice to help clients navigate a broad range of insurance-related challenges.

With substantial experience across key business lines including property damage, business interruption, construction all risks, political risk and trade credit, directors’ and officers’ (D&O), and professional indemnity insurance, Magnus provides tailored, commercially focused solutions. His ability to simplify complex issues ensures that clients receive clear and practical guidance.

Magnus is also well-versed in handling both direct and excess layer coverage disputes through litigation and arbitration. His work spans multiple jurisdictions, including APAC, EMEA, and North America, where his cross-border expertise ensures clients receive cohesive, globally-minded advice.

In addition to his coverage work, Magnus has significant experience in conducting defence litigation on behalf of clients and insureds. His holistic approach helps to effectively defend claims while minimising risk for clients.
