Caitlin is a legal director who started her career at Kennedys in 2018, specialising in property, energy and construction disputes.
Caitlin has a proven record of success in litigation, adjudication and arbitration both nationally and internationally. She is highly skilled at dispute resolution in construction and insurance matters, with a focus on building and maintaining relationships with key clients and stakeholders. She is experienced in advising on all standard form contracts and on construction insurance policies.
Caitlin returned to Kennedys in 2024 following 18 months working as Legal Counsel at tier one international contractor ISG where she had oversight of non-contentious and contentious matters across four business units. This involved varied experience negotiating upstream and downstream on contractual matters and disputes, with emphasis on advising the business on legal and commercial risk.
In addition to her construction expertise, Caitlin has significant experience advising on policy coverage in construction projects, delay in start-up, professional negligence and recovery actions for insurers. She assisted international insurers in drafting new suites of construction policy documents and undertook a client secondment to Zurich’s construction department.

- Acting for international insurance market concerning issues with construction of a hydroelectric dam in Colombia. Claim valued at US$ 2.2bn.
- Acting for insurers in relation to a £1bn road infrastructure project in Scotland in respect of claims for damage and delay to the project.
- Advising insurers in relation to warehouse slab defects with an estimated claim value in excess of £50m.
- Acting for a roofing/envelope sub-contractor in multi-party high court litigation relating to defects in Sky Central’s roof. Claim valued in excess of £120m.
- Acting for architects Donald Insall in relation to an adjudication and TCC enforcement of a claim relating the King’s Observatory, Kew. Matter is subject to reported judgments including a successful Court of Appeal judgment.
- Acting in defence for a national contractor in multi-party TCC litigation following several water leaks in high end residential build. Claim value approx. £20m.
- Advising national contractor in relation to its contractual position with its employer and sub-contractors under an NEC3 contract following collapse of a sports air dome.
- Representing a specialist sub-contractor in successful final account adjudications relating to HS2 works together with subsequent TCC enforcement action.
