Virginia Zarin

Virginia is an associate in the insurance team in our Dubai office, having relocated from London in July 2025.

Virginia specialises in energy, marine and construction insurance and reinsurance claims. She predominantly advises on cross-border matters involving large losses in Latin America and the Middle East.

Virginia provides coverage advice to (re)insurer clients on various policy forms/wordings including marine (hull and cargo), war risks, WELCAR, CAR/EAR/OAR, DSU, property damage and business interruption, political violence (S&T), and third party liability, among others.

Virginia also has extensive litigation and arbitration experience, and represents (re)insurer clients in both coverage disputes and recovery and subrogation actions. She has a particular interest in environmental liability and is currently instructed to advise reinsurers on liabilities arising from a significant oil pollution event in Latin America.

Virginia speaks five languages (English, Italian, French, Spanish and Dari/Farsi).
