Caroline has spent the last 20+ years working in the Bristol defendant personal injury market advising a range of insurance client’s across various sectors including construction, manufacturing, fleet and the public sector. She specialises in high value, complex motor, employers and public liability claims.
She has experience of handling claims involving paraplegia, to include a developing syrinx, amputation and all levels of brain injury. She has a particular interest in somatic illnesses, in particular FND where she has assisted a multi national insurer to develop their handling strategy for such claims.
In addition she has considerable experience of dealing with vulnerable road user claims, running claims involving pedestrians to court. She has delivered training addressing highway code changes, has spoken at industry roundtables regarding e scooters and presented a podcast in conjunction with leading counsel discussing developments with leaders within the industry.
Caroline has appeared in notable cases including Brown v South West Lakes Trust and others [2022] EWCA Civ 18. She works closely with clients to deal with claims from the first notification through to settlement and every step in between, building close relationships with insured clients and rehab providers.
Caroline has hosted 30 episodes of Wheel Life: Legal reflections on vulnerable road users, where she and her co-host explore legal and insurance issues affecting cyclists and other vulnerable road users.
