Kennedys named UK Law Firm of the Year at The British Legal Awards 2017

We are thrilled to announce that we have been named UK Law Firm of the Year at this year’s British Legal Awards.

The annual awards ceremony, which was hosted by Legal Week at Finsbury Square in London, saw Kennedys placed in an extremely competitive category alongside gunnercooke, Harbottle & Lewis, Mischon de Reya, Shoosmiths and Stevens & Bolton.

The UK Law Firm of the Year category recognised firms that have shown significant progress during the last 12-18 months in areas such as legal expertise and innovation, business winning and client care, employee development, sustainable financial performance, strategic vision and a commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Our submission focused on a landmark 18 months of growth in which we have added a number of international offices to our global network and successfully completed a strategic transatlantic merger with US firm Carroll McNulty & Kull, as well as domestic mergers with boutique marine and shipping firm Waltons & Morse and commercial litigation specialists berg. We have also maintained a strong financial performance, with UK turnover up 2% to £104.2m, and continued to invest in the firm’s career framework and technology that aims to develop the future of legal services.
