Felicity is a Legal Director in the London office. She qualified in England and Wales in 2004 and joined Kennedys in 2006. Felicity is a qualified member of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
She specialises in property, energy, construction and engineering insurance matters, acting for insurers and reinsurers both in the UK (including both the Lloyd’s and London Market) and internationally. She provides advice on policy interpretation, subrogation and dispute resolution. Her specialisation has seen her act on a variety of different major losses both domestically and internationally. Her overseas experience has included spending lengthy periods in India while acting on a domestic Indian arbitration relating to coverage issues arising out of a construction all risks and advanced loss of profit insurance policy. Felicity also regularly works with colleagues from a number of our overseas offices, which has seen her take regular trips to Dubai to assist on matters for a United Arab Emirates client.
Examples of Felicity’s experience include acting for insurers in relation to the 2011 UK riots, the Tianjin Port explosion and the high profile Buncefield oil depot explosion in 2005, which saw Felicity coordinating the liability proceedings (Colour Quest Ltd and others v Total Downstream UK Plc and others [2009]) for a market of over twenty insurers with claims totalling over £300 million, a role for which she was recognised in the 2008 edition of The Lawyer magazine’s “Hot 100”.
Felicity has contributed to the latest edition of Kennedys’ Claims Handling Law and Practice Guide which was published in February 2021 and regularly provides training and lectures on matters of interest to our insurer clients.
She is a member of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL).
