Donald is a senior associate based at Kennedys’ London office. He qualified in 2010 as a solicitor in England and Wales. He also works from Kennedys’ Bristol office.

Donald’s practice is in financial, corporate and professional services litigation, and insurance policy coverage disputes. He acts for the insurers of - and to defend - financial institutions, company directors, professional advisors and trustees.

Donald specialises in complex, document-heavy and high-value claims often involving allegations of fraud. He acts in arbitrations, litigation in the Business and Property Courts, and regulatory investigations involving financial services and professional disciplinary issues.

Recent highlights include defending claims made against company directors, insolvency practitioners and financial services providers. Donald also defends claims against accountants, auditors, solicitors, tax and financial advisors, off-shore services providers,  and property and construction professionals.

In his insurance coverage practice, Donald advises on Directors & Officers / Management Liability, Financial Institutions, Crime / Fidelity and Professional Indemnity policies.

Donald holds a degree in German, and has acted on defence and coverage matters in that language including a €multi-billion directors' liability claim.

  • Defending £1.3m claim against a company director alleging transfer of a solar farm asset at an undervalue.

  • Defending off-shore solicitors against £80 million claim arising out of the collapse of a hedge fund.
  • Acting for Financial Lines insurers in relation to £600m shareholder class action.

  • Acting for D&O insurers in relation to competition law class action.
