Adam is a partner who works out of our London and Bristol offices who has almost 20 years’ experience acting for insurer clients in the UK.  He is an insurance specialist whose significant experience covers coverage, defence and recovery work across property damage, construction, professional indemnity and financial lines claims. He is regularly instructed to advise on complex and high value claims and is experienced in all forms of dispute resolution including adjudications, arbitrations, judicial reviews, FOS complaints and ADR. In addition to his core practice areas, Adam is also experienced in non-injury agricultural claims.

Adam leads a team of solicitors dealing with mid-high value property disputes, including subrogated recoveries.

Adam is a member of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL) and British Insurance Law Association (BILA), and regularly writes published articles on his topic areas. In addition, he also provides in house bespoke training sessions on complex issues.

  • Acting for a large London Borough Council to pursue a claim against a roofing contractor that caused c. £8m of damage to a leisure centre.
  • Pursuing a claim against a gas engineer for damage caused by a large explosion within a new £80m retail centre.
  • Defending a concrete manufacturer against a series of claims from separate homeowners that had been provided with defective concrete.
  • Defending a land agent in relation to a £18m claim for negligence.
  • Providing coverage advice in relation to c. 40 related claims against a M&E contractor.
  • Defending a firm of accountants in relation to claims arising from the production of audited accounts.
