Sean acts for a range of major insurers and self-insured companies in the defence of employers’, public and product liability claims.

He is experienced in dealing with all manner of personal injury claims including those arising from the construction industry with multiple parties and claims involving catastrophic injuries including serious head injuries, brain damage and amputations. Sean also has considerable experience dealing with injury claims arising from the social housing sector.

As well as personal injury, Sean also deals with a broad range of property damage claims arising from fire, flood and subsidence as well as pursuing recoveries on behalf of insurers.

Sean has an interest in shaping the landscape of insurance law and he has been appointed the communications officer on FOIL’s (Forum of Insurance Lawyers) casualty sector focus team. He has also been invited to sit on other specialist focus groups, including the gastric illness focus team, which provides views on developments in the law on behalf of insurance lawyers.  

Sean is known and respected for his pragmatic approach to litigation and his proactive style and he is regularly asked to draft articles on current legal issues and deliver training to insurer clients on a range of topics.
