Laura Thompson

Laura manages Kennedys’ liability claims handling team in Leeds. She oversees a team providing a bespoke cradle-to-grave claims handling service for insurers and self-retained policyholders involving all manner of personal injury and property damage claims of unlimited value.

The team offers specialist services including FNOL handling, policy coverage and indemnity advice, catastrophic and large loss claims handling, multi-jurisdictional claims handling, litigation management and costs negotiations.

In addition, Laura handles large loss litigated claims with multi-million pound reserves. Laura is highly regarded by insurers and insured clients for her expertise in dealing with complex liability disputes arising in fatal accident claims, catastrophic injury claims resulting in periodical payment orders and large loss personal injury and property damage claims.

Laura is regularly appointed to represent insurers in relation to cases involving serious injuries including tetraplegia, paraplegia, loss of limbs, serious head and brain injuries and psychiatric injuries as well as property damage claims arising out of fire damage, water damage, piling incidents and asbestos removal.
