Laurence is a senior associate based in Kennedys’ Birmingham office. He trained at Kennedys and qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2015.
Laurence is part of Kennedys’ healthcare team and acts for NHS Resolution and NHS Trusts. He deals with a wide-range of personal injury claims including high value and complex employers’ liability and public liability matters.
Laurence regularly acts on patient assault and bullying/harassment claims, and has experience in dealing with human rights, data protection, deprivation of liberty and discrimination claims. His caseload also now includes COVID-19 related claims.
Laurence supervises a number of colleagues in the Healthcare Team.

- Handled and successfully defended various employers’ liability claims at trial on behalf of different NHS Trusts
- Obtained a discontinuance on a multifaceted stress at work claim prior to trial
- Achieved a £60,000 settlement ahead of trial on a complex public liability claim pleaded at nearly £400,000 where the injured party claimed for the care she could no longer provide to her spouse who previously suffered a serious brain injury
- Assisted in successfully defending a multi-defendant employers’ liability claim at trial pleaded at over £200,000
