Kennedys wins ‘Best Degree Apprenticeship’ at the School Leaver Awards
We are delighted to announce that last week at Grosvenor House in London we won the ‘Best Degree Apprenticeship’ award, which follows our previous success of winning the ‘Top Employer in Law’ title for two consecutive years.
The ‘Best Degree Apprenticeship’ category recognises the best employers within their industry and is judged based on feedback received from our very own apprentices, which is part of a nationwide survey. Alongside ourselves, in an extremely competitive category, was Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Bentley Motors, Charles Russell, Speechlys LLP, Dentons, Goldman Sachs, Mazars, PwC, Severn Trent, Womble Bond, Dickinson.
Hosted by Tess Daly on behalf of AllAboutGroup, the seventh annual awards ceremony announced the winners of 38 categories, which included high profile names from the arts and media, professional services industry, the world of construction and engineering, retail and city councils.
All winners were recognised for their exemplary work in developing school leaver opportunities: Intermediate Apprenticeships, Advanced Apprenticeships, Higher Apprenticeships, Degree Apprenticeships, school leaver programmes and sponsored degrees.
The firm is expecting between 20 and 25 legal apprentices this September as well as five business services apprentices. Our Legal Apprenticeship scheme, which launched in 2012, continues to go from strength to strength. We are grateful to everyone involved in the continued success of our apprenticeship programme, with thanks to our apprentices who completed anonymous feedback surveys based on their real-life experiences here at Kennedys.

Following the success of our Legal Apprenticeship scheme, which has previously led us to winning in a category at both the 2017 and 2018 UK School Leaver Awards. We have also introduced Business Services apprenticeships that start this September in areas such as Business Development, Finance, HR, IT and Risk and Compliance.
