We are delighted to invite you to the 'Transferring personal data out of Mainland China seminar' at our Kennedys office on Thursday 1 June 2023.
China continues to develop its legal framework governing the transfer of personal information out of Mainland China. The Cyberspace Administration of China recently released two key parts of that framework: the Measures on Standard Contract for Cross-Border Transfer of Personal Information and the Standard Contract on Cross-Border Transfer of Personal Information.
Businesses transferring personal data out of Mainland China who wish to rely on the Standard Contract have until 1 December 2023 to put the necessary contractual arrangements in place.
In this seminar, Kennedys Partner Nicholas Blackmore will discuss the various channels by which businesses can transfer personal information out of Mainland China, and the requirements of each channel.
We will be hosting two seminars sessions (morning and lunch time) on the day. As seats are limited, registrations will be accepted on a first come first served basis.
1 CPD point has been applied for and, if approved, will be accredited by The Law Society of Hong Kong.
If you would like to attend, please contact our events team at hong_kong_marketing@kennedyslaw.com.
