Q&A
How did you come to work in Marketing and what is the best thing about your job?
I studied English Literature & Film at university and during my second year I completed a work placement in the University’s social media team – it was from here that my interest really peaked to explore Marketing roles once I graduated. Marketing is an incredibly varied and rewarding role, as we get to work with stakeholders across the business and deliver exciting global projects and campaigns.
How has Kennedys supported your career and development?
The collaborative and encouraging environment at Kennedys has been key, fostering knowledge sharing and collective success, whilst providing opportunities to step up and lead on new projects. Being nominated for Totum’s Rising Star Awards is one example of how the team has supported me, and I am very grateful for this recognition!
What’s been your career highlight to date?
I was fortunate enough to go to Australia last year for a three-month secondment with Kennedys. Not only did I get to meet and work on new projects with more of our global colleagues, but I also got to travel and explore different parts of Australia, including Melbourne, Sydney and some of Tasmania!
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to those starting out in their careers?
Try and gain as much experience as you can – whether that is work experience, internships, listening to podcasts, online training courses, and so on. There is a wealth of knowledge out there!
