Kennedys partners, Mickey Schneider and Hilary Simon, recently obtained a defense verdict in a 7-day trial in Queens Supreme Court.
Our client, a New York-based garage management company, owned a parking garage where the alleged incident occurred. The plaintiff alleged that he was involved in a snow/ice-related accident outside of our client’s parking garage, which resulted in a significant injury requiring surgery. The plaintiff claimed the accident was caused by the actions of the garage’s employees. The demand was $900,000 prior to trial. At trial, despite having no witnesses to support our defense position because the garage was no longer in business and all employees were gone or deceased, we convinced the jury that the accident likely did not occur as alleged, resulting in a defense verdict.
This victory marks the fifth straight defense verdict for Mickey Schneider.
