Chris Murphy

Chris is a senior associate based in Kennedys’ Taunton office. Chris also works from Kennedys’ Bristol office. He qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2012.

Chris represents insurers and their insureds in relation to professional liability claims. Chris also represents insurers in policy coverage disputes arising from professional liability policies and also directors & officers liability policies.  

He deals with a broad range of professional liability claims including the defence of solicitors, architects (including disciplinary matters), accountants, surveyors, construction professionals and miscellaneous professions.

Chris has also represented a number of insurer clients in complex policy coverage disputes arising from professional liability policies and directors & officers liability policies.

For a number of years, Chris worked as an in-house solicitor at a large insurer, handling professional liability and directors & officers claims and dealing with policy coverage issues, which proved an invaluable experience and provided a real insight into how insurers and their insureds want to be represented.

He supervises junior solicitors, trainees and legal apprentices in the Taunton office.
