Hazel specialises in regulatory defence work, particularly health, safety and environment investigations and prosecutions, together with ancillary inquests and public inquiries across all industries. She has worked on numerous high profile health and safety matters including on the Grenfell Tower Inquiry, and is skilled and experienced in providing strategic advice to both organisations and individuals in a wide range of matters.

Hazel is a member of the Health and Safety Lawyers Association.

Work highlights

  • Acting for the Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Company, responsible for the Kensington and Chelsea housing stock, including Grenfell Tower, in relation to the public inquiry and criminal investigations.
  • Providing advice to a national logistics company in relation to a wide range of matters, such as a fatal incident, health and safety and inquest work, and compliance issues.
  • Working as part of the legal team which represented the managing director of Bosley Mill, who was acquitted of four counts of gross negligence manslaughter following a lengthy Crown Court trial.
