Matthew Starner

Education

Matthew is an associate at the New Jersey office. He joined Kennedys after completing a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Lisa A. Firko, J.A.D. in the New Jersey Appellate Division. During his clerkship, Matthew handled a variety of matters including coverage disputes and declaratory actions.   

Matthew is currently working with the New Jersey coverage team.

Matthew attended Seton Hall Law School, where he graduated Order of the Coif. While earning his JD, Matthew was a judicial intern in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey for the Honorable Esther Salas, U.S.D.J., the Honorable Brian R. Martinotti, U.S.D.J., and the Honorable Lois H. Goodman, U.S.M.J. Matthew was also a senior editor of the Seton Hall Legislative Journal.    

Matthew received his BA in Labor Studies & Employment Relations at Rutgers University. During his time at Rutgers, Matthew interned in the Law Department at Everest Global Services and worked as a College Associate in Fox Corporation’s Human Resources Department.
