Daniel Fairey
Profile
Daniel is a senior associate in Manchester’s professional indemnity team. He has worked at Kennedys since 2015, in which time he has developed a career defending complex professional negligence claims, with a notable focus on the construction sector. His work involves defending high-value and technical claims against a diverse range of construction professionals, including architects, engineers, design and build contractors, and surveyors. As well as defending claims against construction professionals, Daniel regularly defends and advises a number of professionals including solicitors, accountants and other emerging professionals.
Daniel has extensive experience in various forms of UK litigation, handling cases in the County Court, High Court, and Court of Appeal. In addition, he is well-versed in Adjudication and Arbitration, and frequently utilises mediation to resolve disputes efficiently. Daniel also provides expert advice on policy coverage and disputes.
As part of his training, Daniel spent six months on secondment in London where he worked in the claims department of an MGA insurer- giving him a comprehensive understanding of the insurance industry from both a client and insurer perspective.
