Jesús Iglesias

Jesús is a partner in Kennedys’ office in Spain. Prior to joining Kennedys in 2024,   Jesús was a partner at an International law firm in Madrid.

Jesús’ main practice areas are cyber and regulatory insurance, where he advises major international and domestic insurers on contentious and non-contentious work.

His cyber expertise consists of advising our clients' insureds on breach response and coverage and privacy counsel. He has also advised a great many cyber insurers operating in Spain on their cyber policies and policy wordings.

His regulatory and corporate practice includes the drafting of policies, distribution arrangements with brokers, advising on regulatory proceedings brought by the Spanish Insurance Regulator and the Spanish Data Protection Authority and the incorporation of Spanish entities and local branches of EU insurers. He also has substantial experience in international insurance programs and has provided advice on insurance captives schemes to Spanish multinationals and insurers. In addition, Jesús advises on reinsurance disputes and has been involved in a number of arbitration and court proceedings.

Jesús is a professor of Insurance Law and speaks regularly at conferences and seminars.
