Kate Courtman qualified as a solicitor in 2010 and joined Kennedys in 2015.

Kate specialises in the defence of professional negligence claims against property professionals in high-value and complex disputes. She has extensive experience of claims involving auctioneers, commercial property agents, social housing, LPA Receivers and substantial valuation claims.

She is instructed both by insurers and property professionals directly.

On the institutional side, she also advises clients on regulatory issues including RICS investigations.

She has defended commercially sensitive and high value matters in court, such as the recent high profile trial of a claim by a bridging finance provider against a valuer.
