Josh has over four years’ experience in the real estate sector and joined the firm in February 2023.

Josh advises on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions and has acted for a range of clients including pension funds, central government departments, charities, private investors and housing associations. His experience includes leasehold asset management, freehold acquisitions and disposals, property finance, development, corporate support and stock rationalisations. In addition, Josh has regularly provided support in relation to the acquisition and disposal of large multi-let properties and on large-scale property financing / due diligence exercises.

Work highlights

  • Leading (with partner support) on the sale of a holiday parks business together with the simultaneous extraction of multiple holiday park retention assets from the same business with a combined value for the transaction of over £400 million.
  • Acting on an investment into 4 student accommodation sites with multiple commercial tenants.
  • Acting on the purchase of multiple shopping centres and fully let office buildings.
  • Acting for BT in relation to its new offices throughout the UK (including leading on a number of due diligence exercises).
  • Leading on the asset management of a multi-let shopping centre asset.
  • Acting for a number of housing associations, government departments and local authorities in relation to various property assets.
  • Acting for a number of tenants in relation to new leases (including head office leases and leases for ‘flagship’ stores) and lease renewals.
  • As a trainee, attending the Court of Appeal in relation to a construction dispute.
