Jordan Leech is an associate in Kennedys’ Leeds office.  He qualified as a solicitor in 2021 and joined Kennedys in June 2023.

Jordan regularly advises on the defence in claims against a wide range of professionals and takes a particular interest in disputes involving solicitors.  In addition, he represents and advises construction professionals including surveyors, architects, designers, contractors, sub-contractors, and engineers involving claims relating to amongst other things alleged defective designs or workmanship.

Jordan also acts for insurers on policy coverage issues such as late notification and exclusion clauses.

Jordan is a member of the planning committee for the LINK LGBTQ+ insurance network.

Work highlights

  • Successfully struck out a multi-million-pound lost litigation claim against a firm of solicitors.
  • Acted on several claims against solicitors alleging breach of trust raising issues canvassed by the Court of Appeal in Dreamvar (UK) Limited v Mishcon de Reya and another [2018] EWCA Civ 1082
