Andrew McGahey

Andrew is the Managing Partner for Kennedys EMEA, responsible for the performance and management of our seven offices in the region.

Qualifying as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2000, he later also qualifed to practice in Ireland. Now seamlessly practicing across both jurisdictions, he is based in our Dublin office. Prior to joining in Kennedys in January 2018, he was a partner at Mayer Brown International LLP.

With over two decades of experience, Andrew is a trusted advisor on complex insurance litigation and coverage disputes, particularly those involving financial institutions, directors and officers, and professionals. His expertise on matters involving financial institutions spans complex first party and third party losses across banks, private equity houses, stockbrokers, investment managers in Ireland, the UK, and globally.

Known for his “uncomplicated and clear advice” his practice extends to advising on property damage and business interruption claims, claims made under environmental liability policies, transactional liability and title indemnity insurance policies..
