Ryan Chancellor is an associate in the Chicago office and focuses his practice on the representation and counsel of domestic and international insurance companies in litigation and disputes involving insurance coverage issues. Ryan has significant experience handling first-party and third-party insurance claims in jurisdictions across the country, providing comprehensive coverage opinions, coverage position letters, claims monitoring and litigation management.

Ryan has experience with a multitude of professional liability lines, including mortgage banker/broker professional liability, employment practices liability, errors & omissions and directors & officers. Ryan also has experience with financial lines, fidelity bonds, commercial crime and cyber liability. Ryan also handles first-party property matters due to catastrophic losses, including wildfires, hailstorms and flood.

Ryan is also an experienced litigator, handling lawsuits involving insurance coverage issues such as negligent procurement, breach of contract, rescission, fraud and bad faith.

Ryan was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2021 after completing his juris doctor. During law school, he served as a judicial extern in the Chancery Division of the State of Illinois Circuit Court of Cook County.
