  • Medimas Fiscal Liability Proceedings: The matter involved one of the most significant losses of public funds in the Colombian Health System and one of the biggest scandals of corruption and misappropriation of public funds in the country. It refers to two Fiscal Liability Proceedings against Medimas EPS and its D&Os brought by The General Comptroller's Office. In 2023, Kennedys successfully obtained the Cedant’s removal from one of the Fiscal Liability Proceedings, while the other proceedings are ongoing.
  • El Quimbo Dam Fiscal Liability Proceedings: The matter involved an alleged loss of public funds in the implementation of multi-million contracts for the contraction of El Quimbo Hydroelectric Dam Project. One of the most important Hydro Projects in the country. Liceth was involved in the defence of SBS in the proceedings.
  • TCL Peru: This complex case involved a transport policy issued by Chubb Colombia acquired by a Colombian Company to insure the risk of a Peruvian Company. Liceth was involved in the defence of Chubb withing the proceedings.]
  • Bravo Petroleum:The matter involved a fire and explosion of fuel storage tanks, property of Bravo Petroleum, occurred in the Port of Barranquilla, Colombia. The Port of Barranquilla is handled by Compañia de Puerto Asociados- Compas and the fuel stored in the tanks was property of Ecopetrol. Liceth was involved in the coverage analysis of Bravo’s Port Liability Policy, analysis of liability claims and definition of legal strategy.
  • The UAESP and Enel Fiscal Liability Proceedings: The UAESP (Government entity responsible for the provision of the public lighting service, among others) and Enel (Energy Company with both private and public capital) entered into a contract for the provision of the public lighting service in Bogota D.C. The General Comptroller's Office in Colombia claimed that during 2014 to 2018, UAESP paid Codensa more that it should for the public lighting service, causing a great loss of public funds. Liceth was involved in the defence of SBS and the reinsures in the proceedings.
